Speaker B: I finally did! The mystery! The shock! That explosion! It was a real cliffhanger!
Speaker A: I know, I have so many questions. There better be a second season soon.
Speaker B: Yeah, like tomorrow!
A cliffhanger is a part of a book, movie or show that leaves readers or viewers in suspense. These days, cliffhangers are especially common on TV shows. They are what keep people watching episode after episode after episode.
