Contagious
The increase of infections is caused by the very contagious Delta variant. In Jakarta, COVID patients are quarantining at home because hospitals are full. To help, the group “Wallet for the Poor” is providing free meals to home-bound patients.
Contagious describes an infectious disease that is passed from person to person through direct or indirect contact. Contagious can also describe a feeling that spreads among people quickly, like happiness or fear.
