The National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo is Japan’s second oldest museum.
Crowdfunding
The building holds about five million objects from dinosaur bones to stuffed bears. The museum’s request for more money was turned down by the Japanese government. So, the head of the museum announced a crowdfunding effort raising $3.4 million in the first three days.
Crowdfunding is a way to seek financial support through small donations from many people, usually after posting an appeal online.
