People in Copenhagen, Denmark recently celebrated the season with a parade, in the dark of night and on water!
Decorate
Hundreds of private boats took part in the event on the city’s canals. Owners decorated their boats with bright colorful lights. Some even brought Christmas trees aboard. Many boaters sang Christmas carols as they floated along.
Decorate means to add beautiful objects to something to improve the way it looks.
In the military, decorate means to award a soldier with an honor.
