In the United States, the company Colonial Pipeline was the recent victim of a cybercrime that caused a halt to fuel transport.
Disruptive
The Colonial Pipeline transports 45% of the gasoline and jet fuel used on the East Coast. The group Dark Side, was blamed for the attack. It is said to be one of the most disruptive cybercrimes ever reported.
In this example, disruptive means a trouble that blocks a process, or operation, from continuing. A car accident can be disruptive to the flow of traffic, for example.
