Overwhelmed
The capital city of Delhi has the highest daily cases of infections. Hospital beds are full. Medicines and oxygen are in short supply. Burial places are running out of space. Aid from other nations is coming, but healthcare and burial workers are overwhelmed.
When someone is described as overwhelmed, it means they are struggling with too many problems at one time.
Overwhelmed can also mean that someone or something was completely defeated.
