The government accuses Google of creating a search monopoly by paying Apple and other companies to be the first search engine on digital devices. Google argues that it has many competitors.
A monopoly is a single seller that blocks competition from providing the same product or service. Most monopolies are illegal because of antitrust laws, which support competition between businesses.
