Outrage
22-year-old Mahsa Amini died while being detained by police for violating the rules of Islamic dress. Protests quickly grew across the world. Protesters cut their hair as a sign of outrage.
Outrage means angry feelings caused by a hurtful, unjust, or insulting act. The noun can also mean the act itself, as in: The attack is an outrage. The adjectival form is outrageous.
