Tentative
Britain is ending its third lock down, in place since January because of a highly infectious coronavirus variant. The country is now taking another tentative step towards returning to normal life.
The adjective “tentative” means not sure or not final. A tentative plan is one that is open to change. For example, you might set a tentative date for an outdoor party because the event is dependent on weather.
