Hello, my dear good friends! I am Athena, and today, I will walk you through one of the historical landmarks here in the Philippines. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Rizal Park!
Rizal Park is also known as Luneta Park. I’s located in Manila, and is famouse because of its importance in the Philippine history. During the Spanish colonial period, it was the place of execution of Jose Rizal, who then became the country’s national hero. His death only intensified the 1896 Philippine Revolution. A 42-feet standing bronze sculpture of Rizal was built in the park and his remains were kept inside the monument.
Now, Rizal Park is a famous spot ton visit for both local and foreign tourists.
